"Emerging Adults" refers to those aged 18-35. This is a time of discovering yourself, differentiating yourself from the family you grew up in, starting a career, and, for some, a family of your own. You are encountering new experiences, which prove to be sometimes exciting, at times confusing, and other times terrifying. Sometimes these experiences cause a brush with emotional wounds from the past, perhaps otherwise forgotten about or unknown. My job is to be a sounding board and source of support, to journey with you as you enter this new phase of life.
I specialize in anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, and working with clients through life transitions. I find my relational approach utilizing attachment theories lends itself well to working with adults toward healing childhood or adult relationship wounds. I also use a combination of proven therapeutic techniques to address anxiety or depression symptoms causing my clients' distress. I work together with my clients to co-create goals for their therapy and to achieve those goals.
