I believe each person brings his or her own, unique story and whole self (physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual) into the therapeutic setting, and I believe that story should be valued and protected. My desire is that you experience therapy with me as a safe place to bring your whole self. I understand some situations in life can be messy and I love the beauty that can be created through it. I am relational in my approach to therapy and consider it a privilege to travel alongside you as you journey through growth and self-exploration. Clients have expressed their appreciation for my calm, compassionate, and genuine manner.
As a person of strong personal faith, I know that the incorporation of one's spiritual life into the therapeutic process can bring significant healing and comfort for some people. I also know for others, this is something they wish to leave at the door when they step into therapy. Wherever you find yourself in this regard, I invite you to bring what is helpful to you and your story into the therapeutic process. I also assure you that your process will be valued as your own and you should never feel pressured to incorporate any spiritual aspect if you prefer not to.
